After training as an engraver at the graphic art company Albert Horn Söhne in Hattersheim and studying at the design school Gutenbergschule für Gestaltung in Frankfurt am Main, Werner Lott studied sociology, political science and economics at the Goethe University in Frankfurt. He worked as a free-lancer in media and market research parallel to obtaining his degree. From 1993 to 1995, he held a student assistant job at the Fritz Bauer Institute and worked in administration of the friends’ association Fritz Bauer Institut e.V. Lott has been employed at the Fritz Bauer Institute and responsible for technical management/digital and print media there since 1995. From 1993 to 2008, he was, as editor, in charge of the Newsletter zur Geschichte und Wirkung des Holocaust (Newsletter on the history and impact of the Holocaust), and since 2009, Lott has been editor of Einsicht. Bulletin des Fritz Bauer Instituts and the Institute’s website. In addition to designing the layout of Einsicht, the Jahresbericht (annual report) and additional Institute publications.
Contributions in various publications on the German-Israeli youth exchange, on the culture of remembrance in Germany and Israel, on music, literature and films from Israel.
