Werner Lott has been working in the fields of technical management and digital and print media at the Fritz Bauer Institute since its establishment in 1995. In addition to designing the layout of Einsicht. Bulletin des Fritz Bauer Instituts [Insight. Bulletin of the Fritz Bauer Institute] and the Institute’s Jahresbericht [Annual Report], he is responsible for the Institute’s website and the layout of other online and print publications. From 2014 to 2020, he was responsible for the cover design of the Institute’s Wissenschaftliche Reihe [Academic Series] and Jahrbuch [Yearbook], both published by Campus Verlag until 2020. From 1993 to 2008, he was editor and designer of the Newsletter zur Geschichte und Wirkung des Holocaust [Newsletter on the history and impact of the Holocaust].
After training as a flat engraver at the Graphic Arts Institute Albert Horn Söhne in Hattersheim and at the Gutenberg School of Design in Frankfurt am Main, Werner Lott studied sociology, political science and economics at Goethe University Frankfurt. During his studies, he worked as a freelancer in media market research. From 1993 to 1995, he was a Student Assistant at the Arbeitsstelle Fritz Bauer Institute and administrative employee of the Friends’ association Fritz Bauer Institute e.V.
