Lilia Tomchuk

Doctoral candidate, Saul Kagan Academic Fellowship of the Claims Conference

Lilia Tomchuk is a doctoral student at the Chair for Research on the History and Impact of the Holocaust of Prof. Dr. Sybille Steinbacher. From 2020 to 2022 she held the Jürg Breuninger Doctoral Fellowship from the Fritz Bauer Institute. As part of her research, she was also awarded a scholarship from the German-Ukrainian Commission of Historians, the Yad Vashem Grant for Doctoral Students and Young Scholars, a fellowship at the USC Dornsife Center for Advanced Genocide Research, a junior fellowship at the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Center for Advanced Holocaust Studies at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington D.C. and a junior fellowship at the Vienna Wiesenthal Institute for Holocaust Studies. In 2023/24 she holds the Saul Kagan Academic Fellowship of the Claims Conference.
