Thomas Siurkus studies political science and law at the Goethe University Frankfurt am Main. He works as a guide at the Fritz Bauer Institute and shows the Wollheim Memorial to groups of visitors. On behalf of the Institute, he also organizes workshops on various topics in the field of mediation work. During his international youth volunteer service with Aktion Sühnezeichen Friedensdienste in the United States, he led guided tours of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington DC. His main interests are the legal treatment of genocide as well as strategies for the prevention of mass crimes today.
