Jason Pollhammer M.A.

Research associate

Jason Pollhammer completed his bachelor’s degree in historical sciences from 2010 to 2013 and his master’s degree from 2014 to 2016 in contemporary history, both at the University of Vienna. He wrote his thesis on the political and propaganda functions of housing construction in the GDR. He interned at the Documentation Centre of Austrian Resistance and in the editorial office of zeit.geschichte of ORF III cultural and informational television channel. In 2013 and 2014, Pollhammer was a student assistant and tutor at the Institute of Contemporary History of the University of Vienna. Since 2017, he has been a research associate for the Chair for Research on the History and Impact of the Holocaust, on the research project on the history of Goethe University Frankfurt am Main during National Socialism and in the early years of the Federal Republic of Germany.
