Jason Lemberg M.A.

Research Associate, Chair on the History and Impact of the Holocaust

Jason Lemberg has been a Research Associate at the Chair for Research on the History and Impact of the Holocaust since 2017. At the Fritz Bauer Institute, he is working on a project on the history of Goethe University under National Socialism and in the early years of the Federal Republic. For his dissertation, he is investigating the history of armament research at Goethe University during the Nazi era.

He completed a Bachelor’s degree in history in 2013 and a Master’s degree in contemporary history in 2016, both at the University of Vienna. He wrote his Master’s thesis on the political and propagandistic functions of housing construction in the GDR. He completed internships at the Documentation Centre of Austrian Resistance and in the editorial department of zeit.geschichte of the Austrian special-interest channel for information and culture ORF III. In 2013 and 2014, he was a Student Assistant and Tutor at the Institute of Contemporary History at the University of Vienna.
